<p>Steven Zeisel of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the U.S. will test the hypothesis that adequate levels on choline in the diets of pregnant and nursing mothers is needed for optimal brain development of fetuses and infants. He will develop and validate a methodology to measure infant memory and cognition for use in a larger study on the effects of dietary choline on infant development in The Gambia.</p>
