Grand Challenges Initiatives Grants Awarded

Twelve researchers from 10 different countries were awarded grants under Grand Challenges Explorations. Read summaries of the grants awarded for the following two challenges: Innovations in Materials Science for a Transformative Menstrual Health and Hygiene Product (Round 25) and New Approaches to Integrating Molecular Surveillance into Malaria Control Programs (Round 26).  The menstrual health and hygiene product challenge had been launched together with two others that also focused on womens health and for which funding is complete – one on Non-Hormonal Contraceptive Discovery and one on Safe and Appropriate Cesarean Section.
