Grand Challenges Global Call-to-Action Announced

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is accepting applications through the new Grand Challenges Global Call-to-Action initiative for the following four requests for proposals. The goal of this initiative is to fund cutting-edge science projects that together advance high-priority global health objectives while supporting and expanding a locally-led research and development ecosystem with a balance of women investigators.

• Building Malaria Modeling Capacity in Sub-Saharan Africa
• Digital Health Services for Pregnant Women to Support Antenatal Risk Stratification in Sub-Saharan Africa
• Innovations in Eliminating Neglected Tropical Diseases
• Strengthening Data Science Capacity and the Ecosystem: Enabling Data-Centered Public Health Interventions
