Grand Challenges Explorations Round 14 Opened
- Sep 4, 2014
In the fourteenth round of Grand Challenges Explorations, proposals were solicited that targeted the following topics: integrating community-based interventions, measuring brain development and gestational age, supporting new mosquito-control approaches, reducing malaria transmission by outdoor mosquitoes, reducing childhood deaths from pneumonia, and enabling universal acceptance of mobile money payments. The last four topics are new this round and include the first topic – focused on mobile-phone based payment systems – under the Foundation’s Financial Services for the Poor program.
